Chingre macher sorshe bata or Shirmps in mustard sauce is a typical Bengali delicacy. Here , bata is the paste of mustard by which this dish is made
Bengali people adore anything and everything with mustard , be it mustard oil (kachi ghani shorse er tel) or be it their mustard paste ( sorshe bata )😋. A love and Jhaaj relationship with bong's kitchen.

Ingredients :
Tiger prawns -
Mustard seeds - 4 tsp
Green chilies - 4
Turmeric - 1 tbsp
Salt - 1 tbsp
Mustard oil- 1/2 tsp
Method :
Make the Paste : In a grinder add mustard , green chilies , salt and turmeric and make a paste of it.
In a pan /Kadai :
- Add 1 tsp of mustard oil and shallow fry the prawns
- After frying add the paste and a little bit of water.
- Cover the pan for about 15 minutes.
