~ Baked Yogurt ~



Bake yogurt is what we call in bengali as Bhappa Doi . This particular dish is mostly loved and cherished by bongs. It tastes just like Mishti Doi.
Preparation of mishti doi and bhappa doi are quite different, a lot . Mishti doi takes lots of time to prepare where as bhappa doi takes less time and very easy to prepare. So if you are running out of time and want mishti doi (sweet curd) because you are a curd lover like me then definitely try this recipe from Bengal.

The ingredients are given below :

INGREDIENTS: 
  1. Beaten Plain Yogurt - 1 cup
  2. Condense Milk - 1 cup
  3. Milk - 1 cup
  4. Water - 2cup
  5. Cashew nuts
  6. Keshari Pista Masala  (for flavor) 

METHODS:
  1. Add all the ingredients and whisk together till well blended.
  2. Pour the mixture in a ramekin bowl or in a steel bowl.
  3. Add almonds , cashews and keshari pista masala on the top. (Don't mix)
  4. Seal the bowl with cling wrap . So that moisture doesn't get in.
  5. Heat sufficient water on your pressure cooker.Place the bowl in the cooker.
  6. Put the lid on and steam it up for about 35 minutes.
  7. Take it out from the cooker and keep aside to cool in room temperature.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator before serving.
NOTE: 
  1. If you are using a steamer then fill up with 4 cups of water .
  2. Instead of cooker you can use a saucepan or a steamer.
  3. If you are covering the bowl with cling wrap then make some slashes on the top.
  4. And serve chill
